Take a break, have a cornflake!

Kakak is sitting for her end of year exam this week before the 90days summer break. She had finished her Arabic, Maths and Social studies papers for the past 3days which she had commented 'kacang aje' except for arabic (no surprise sbb umi pun x reti nak ajar huhuhu) She will need to study for the rest of the papers (ESL, Science, Islamic, Computer, Language)during this 2days break. She always find Science very difficult to understand, hence when I sense her reluctant to study for her Sc subject, i'd suggested that we bake something before she continues her studies. She excitedly agreed (she always love to help in the kitchen!)and promised to study more on Science that night. We decided to bake the easiest biscuit of all, Biskut Cornflakes ;)

P/S: They met the Villain of McD at Geant Riyadh Gallery last night, and ayah took a snap. Ayman look so uncomfortable being next to the Villain haha...

KG1B Classroom at Al-Iqbal International School

One day, Alia came home from school and this conversation took place:-
Alia: Umi, do you want to see how my class look like inside?
Umi: Yes, sure. Show me, but before that can you please take off your shoes and put on the shoe rack, please?
(She quickly did what she has been told to before going through her school bag..looking for that one piece of paper. A smile crossed her face after she finally found it..)
Alia: Look umi, i draw this at school.
Umi: Wow!! its wonderful. Ok, now tell me about all the things in this wonderful picture of yours.
(She started with pointing at the picture of Ms Uzuma teaching the class about colours..and so on so forth. Not until she finished her story-telling, then umi start with Q/A segment)
Umi: Who is that girl standing next to your teacher?
Alia: Oh..thats my friend. its a boy la umi, he's been punished for being naughty
Umi: Ooo..no wonder he look so sad:(. And what about this? What is this?(umi pointing at a picture of milk bottle on the bag rack)
Alia: thats my friends bottle.
Umi: Is it a milk bottle? like ayman's one?
Alia: bukan betul2 macam ayman punye, tapi sama sikit je..kawan adik tu minum air dlm botol susu la umi
Umi: oo..iyeke??? hahaha...

Umi's new tool :)

Ayah had bought umi a new oven and here are the first few experiments done with it...and lots coming up(hopefully! hehehe ...)

Alia's End of Year Event

Alia was in her quarantine mode when we got the news of her end of year school event which will be held in less than a week time. She was begging us to let her join the ceremony and since her teacher also had written personally asking umi to come for prize giving ceremony, so we decide to let her go. The teacher requested to prepare her a yellow long frock, together with yellow shoes and yellow jewelleries...not forgetting she had to learn a poem title 'Traffic lights' for her class performance. She was all into the show and giving her best effort in memorizing the poem (its good to see such enthusiasm in this lil girl! :) Umi spend half a day to come up with the required 'frock' and was glad it was home-made instead of grabbing from the garment stores cos alia seems appreciate it more..she said the frock is very special because umi made it especially for her ;) We had great fun together that day, only the two of us..

'Traffic Lights'
Red light red light what do you say?
I say stop and stop right away
Yellow light yellow light what do you say?
I say wait and ready right away
Green light green light what do you say?
I say go and go right away
Thank you, thank you red yellow green
Now i know what traffic lights mean

Pox in da House!!!

Pheww..!! It seems like ages from the last time I wrote. Now i know its not that easy to keep a blog flowing smoothly ;) Yes, i did sit down and log in twice before this third attempt, but there's always distractions either from the squad (who else!), catching up with the world updates and not mentioning the calling from my so-called social networking aka FB haha...Who said full-time housewife has all the time in the world huh??! Totally disagree.

What's goin on for the past couple of weeks? Theres good things and bad things, of course. Bad things first, i always like to save the best for last haha...We have been attacked by the Chicken Pox virus!!Well, currently the virus had landed on Alia and Kak chik..though i really hope it will stop there. Have been busy trying to prevent the one who got it from getting worse and also doing all the best i can to stop it from spreading to the others, especially lil ayman. Alhamdulillah, they are recovering well.

The good news is the squad has an additional cousin on the 30th April 08 ..Yeay! Cik ly just delivered her second baby and we just cant wait to hear details on the newborn baby boy. (Ema, culina if u read this please update us!! and dont forget to email us the pic) The next day after hearing the news, ayah came home from office and with his mischievously smile, handed umi a piece of paper. Guess what!! We've booked a ticket to go back home ..yeay!!! The date is still a secret though haha...jgn marah yea my beloved families...saja nak buat surprise :)) InsyaAllah, klau dah dekat2 esok, we will announce yeee...hehehe..So, to swap with the 'special date', here are some pics of the girls art work. Umi has put up one special art board in the activity room and we will put up all the kids art work there. Before we put up new batch of work, umi will take a snap of them so that we wont miss one single creative ideas of the Azrul's girls hehe...enjoy!

p/s: instead of uploading pics of the two girls w their 'pinkish fairies trails' (i told the girls fairies has pay a visit and leave trails on their skins, so they better not scratch them or else fairies wont be friend w them anymore *wink*), i've put up some pics of the growing ayman. Some pics are best to kept private, right? ;)
